12/4/09 Prayer Fellowship North Hills Family,   This Sunday, 12/6, is our monthly Prayer Fellowship meeting, from 6-7:30 pm at the Crossroads Ministry Center.  I hope many of you will come join in as we approach the throne of grace together.  The strategy is to pray through some key themes from Philippians chapter one.  Praying the Scriptures is one of the best ways to allow the Word to get from head to heart in a way that refreshes the soul and enlivens communion with our Father.  It also helps us pray according to God's will.  In preparation, take some time to meditate on the following:   1.  Thank God and pray for your brothers and sisters in Christ who labor with you for the Gospel.  vv.1-8 2.   Pray that our love would grow with knowledge and discernment (individual, family, church).  vv.9-11  3.  Seek to recognize hardship as an opportunity to grow and spread the Gospel.  vv.12-18 4.  Make our highest aim and deepest delight the exaltation of Christ.  vv. 19-26 5.  Stand strong and united as opposition and suffering assault us.  vv.27-30   I believe this is a critical time in the growth of North Hills Church.  Please remain in prayer, knowing it is a primary means of resisting the devil's attempts to destroy us, as well as a way to enyoy the rich fellowship that sustains and encourages us.   Thank you SO MUCH for your support and encouragement.   See you Sunday,   Jim
