In an effort to help keep parents, teachers, and our congregation aware of the spiritual growth and development of Children's Church Childre, we have decided to create a weekly article which will be titled, "Children's Church Corner"...This will inform you all of what our little lambs are working on and what truths they are growing in on their level...It will help you to see how our teachers are laboring to instill in these little lives the message of the gospel!! Feel free to quiz your child or ask some heart probing questions to "bring it home" if you will...
So here is what our North Hills children were taught this past Sunday...
Nursery~ Our little ones ages 1-3 are learning to hide God's words in their hearts...They were taught Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." they will be learning this for the next couple months along with some new verses implemented as well!
Primary~Our little ones ages 4-6 were taught the story of Jesus as a young boy teaching in the temple...He was found by Joseph and Mary and Jesus obeyed his mother and father. Children were encouraged to obey their mothers and fathers like Jesus did. Ask them to tell you their Bible verse!!
"And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and Men." Luke 2:52
Lower/Upper Elementary~Our young ones ages 7-11 were able to hear from Mrs.Amy about our "Hope Again" mission. They were given testimonials from others who have been a part of this mission! The children were encouraged to pray for these indivduals that they might receive Salvation! Mrs. Tanya finshed the morning off by teaching the children about Jesus' miracle of the loaves and the fish! Please work on their memory verse with them this week...They have their MVP cards with the verse printed on it...John 14:6 |
