As in all of our ministries, the Children’s Church is committed to “building a community of faith, hope and love where Christ is exalted and lives are transformed.” Our desire is to see the training provided in the home enhanced by the Children’s Church through the teaching of God’s Word.
To accomplish this goal, children begin their Sunday morning in corporate worship with their families then the children gather together to pray, study God’s Word and fellowship. Our faithful, trained servants present God’s Word at an age appropriate level prepared from Bible-centered curriculum. Each lesson is from our "Show Me Jesus" curriculum. You can visit www.gcp.org for more information.
Our Classrooms
Our Children’s Church is divided into three classrooms:
Nursery (Infants through Age 3)
Primary (Age 4 through 6)
Elementary (Age 7 through Fifth Grade)
Volunteers/ Servants
The teacher’s chief aim is to model a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to present the Word in such a manner that the children will be able to understand and act on what they have heard.
Servants who apply to work with and teach the children must fulfill strict qualification requirements. This assures that only those demonstrating solid character and a growing relationship with the Lord are allowed to minister to the children.
In our desire to provide a safe and healthy environment for our children, each of our servants goes through a screening process that includes reference checks and fingerprinting.
