North Hills Family,
I want to personally thank the Lord for His faithfulness in using you guys to support and minister to me and my family during the time surrounding my mom’s death. To all those who stepped up last Sunday morning, and to those who’ve sent notes and meals, ‘BLESS YOU!’
I’ve always taken seriously our mission statement, “Building a community of faith, hope, and love, where Christ is exalted and lives are transformed.” Seeing this lived out in such a real way glorifies God and is a testimony to His work in our midst. Let’s continue looking for ways to love one another as a means of fanning the flame of faith and hope as we await His return.
One practical way to build loving, Christ-centered relationships is through participation in one of our small groups. Please consider joining either the Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday gathering for Bible study, prayer, and fellowship. Each group will be provided discussion questions from the previous Sunday’s sermon passage in order to reflect more deeply on God’s word and to make practical application to our lives.
Finally, in light of our fall ‘ramp up’, let’s come together for prayer this Sunday evening, 6-7:30, at the Crossroads Ministry Center. This is a powerful time of banding together in Christ’s name to seek His blessing and guard us against the attacks of the enemy. Come with a Scripture, a testimony, a prayer request, or simply a heart willing to enter into prayer. We especially want to pray for the Wassell family as they step out in faith to heed God’s call on their lives. And again, thank you for the mature, humble expressions of love……….
For His glory and our joy, Jim |
