James 2:1-13

1.      In light of what we’ve read in James so far, how would you define true (pure) religion?

2.      Is all judgment necessarily wrong?  (Matt.7:1, 6, 15).  Why or why not?

3.      What kind of people do you generally notice or associate with?  Who do you tend to avoid?

4.      Why is it wrong to show partiality? (v.1, Romans 2:11; Galatians 2:6)

5.      How is God’s standard different from the world’s regarding who He chooses?  (v.5, 1 Cor. 1:26-31; Deut.7:6-8)

6.      How does the “royal law” relate to the prohibition against partiality?

7.      How do you understand verse ten?  How should you respond to it?
