James 1:19-25
1. Review James 1:1-25 and note the truths that have affected you the most throughout this study.
2. In what ways do you generally respond to trials and temptations in your life? How should you respond according to vv.2, 5-8 and Romans 5:3?
3. What is the practical difference between trials and temptations? (v.12-18)
4. What does it mean to really listen to God's Word? (v.19)
5. What do you need to do in order to adequately receive the Word? (vv.19-21)
6. What is the greatest evidence that a person's salvation is genuine? (vv.22-25; John 14:15; 1 John 2:3-5)
7. What are some Biblical truths you need to put into practice in your life? What changes need to be made after looking into the mirror of God's Word? Be specific.
8. Write out a prayer thanking God for His gifts, confessing known sin, and asking Him for wisdom and obedience for meeting trials with joy.
